PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
415 N. MILWAUKEE ST.
JUNE 7, 2010 at 6:00 PM
UNAPPROVED/UNOFFICIAL MINUTES

1. Planning Commission meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM by Chairman Langmesser. Present: Langmesser, Schmidt, Ranke, Draskovich, Gerard, Derse, Hardy, Attorney Dubis and Residents.

2. Chairman Langmesser led the Pledge of Allegiance.

3. Derse to approve the May 3, 2010 meeting minutes as written, seconded by Gerard. Motion carried.

4. Correspondence- None

5. Pier Permit- Zendek, 5443 Scenery Rd.- Request for a 2nd pier.- Applicant indicates that he has 240' of frontage. B.P.I.A (not in attendance) via letter is disputing 10' as not being owned by the Zendeks. Langmesser wanted it on the record that the commission was aware of this correspondence. Gerard motioned to approve the pier, seconded by Draskovich. Schmidt indicated that he would like to see the word "moored" removed from the application as this is something that the Commission would not approve. Zendeks' indicated that this was for friends and that there would be no overnight of boat docking by guests. All in favor. Motion carried.

6. Shore land Contract Report- Derse reported indicated that he was handed one tonight and is located across from Derse. Derse indicated that the land was flat and did not foresee any run off problems.

7. Motion to move July 5th Planning meeting to July 6th due to holiday- Derse motioned to move the meeting to July 6th due to holiday, seconded by Ranke. All in favor. Motion carried.

8. Announcements/Discussion- None

Schmidt motioned to adjourn the meeting at 6:15 PM, seconded by Draskovich. Motion carried.

TOWN BOARD MEETING FOR WATERFORD
UNAPPROVED/UNOFFICIAL MINUTES FOR JUNE 14, 2010
6:00 PM AT TOWN HALL

1. Town Board meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM by Chairman Langmesser. Present: Gauerke, Baumgart, Szeklinski, Kacmarcik, Attorney Dubis and residents of the Town.
2. Chairman Langmesser led the Pledge of Allegiance.
3. Printed Minutes: Szeklinski motioned to approve the Town Board meeting minutes dated May 10, 2010 and the special minutes dated May 10, 2010 as printed, seconded by Gauerke. Motion carried.
4. Treasurer Report/Payment of Claims- Baumgart motioned to approve the claims as presented, seconded by Szeklinski. Motion carried. Chairman Langmesser read the Treasurer's report.

6. Committee Reports:
(a) Police Dept. Report-Chief Ditscheit reported that there have been a series of thefts of items from vehicles and encouraged residents to lock their vehicles up all the time. He noted that the police are taking a proactive approach to settling this matter but was unable to explain any further. Langmesser also reported that Ron's Service and the Waterford Pharmacy Station were also robbed but the person involved was captured.
(b) Tichigan Vol. Fire Co. - None as the department was on a call (Bluhm arrived shortly after the meeting was adjourned)
(c) Waterways Committee- Dick Kosut reported there is an increase of aquatic plant growth. He was informed by the DNR that this was most likely due to the flooding of 2008. The next draw down will not be until 2011.
(d) Park- None
(e) Road Dept. - Langmesser reported that both asphalting and crack filling have begun.
(f) Town Planning Recommendations-
" Pier Permit- Zendek, 5443 Scenery Rd.- Gauerke motioned to approve the pier permit subject to the following change to the planning commission minutes: "…would be no overnight boat docking by guests…", seconded by Baumgart. All in favor. Motion carried.
7. Old Business:
(a) Annual liquor license applications- Atty. Dubis read the list of establishments as presented by the Town Clerk. Baumgart motioned to approve the licenses as presented, seconded by Gauerke. All in favor. Motion carried.

8. New Business:
(a) Tom Hein, Freedom Fireworks, 35126 A Janesville Rd.- Applicant requested to remove himself from the agenda. Kacmarcik read as letter from the Dept. of Revenue which states that Tom Hein does not have a valid sellers' permit and Gauerke noted that Racine Co. Planning and Development also denied Mr. Hein's request.
(a) Ordinance re: May Town Board meeting- Kacmarcik motioned to approve the ordinance dealing with the term of office of appointed officials (Inspector and Attorney), seconded by Gauerke. All in favor. Motion carried.

Kacmarcik motioned to adjourn the meeting at 6:22 PM, seconded by Gauerke. All in favor. Motion carried.
